PUBLIC WORKS
Public Works is the management of transportation, traffic, drinking water, wastewater, surface water, solid waste, parks and grounds. These functions are commonly referred to as infrastructure. Every community has a basic infrastructure that is critical to the day-to-day operation of the community. This infrastructure helps make our lives easier, safer, more productive and more enjoyable. Transportation is critical to the movement of goods and services. Safe, clean drinking water and wastewater keeps us healthy and protects the environment. Surface water protects our property and structures from damage due to flooding and protects the environment. Solid waste protects our health and the environment. Parks and grounds make our communities a more enjoyable place to live.
