Trillium Creek Park Concept Plan

(AKA Anderegg Property)

The City of Damascus and North Clackamas Parks and Recreation District (NCPRD) partnered to develop a concept plan for a neighborhood park on NCPRD’s Anderegg property in the Trillium neighborhood. The final concept plan for the Anderegg property is complete! Thanks to all the residents that attended the public design meetings or contributed to the design through emails and phone calls.  Those who participated provided thoughtful input on their priorities for park features as well as the layout of the park.  City staff, NCPRD staff and members from the Damascus Committee for Citizen Involvement (CCI) worked with the park designers to develop a final concept plan that most reflected the desires of the residents and that would create a park that is durable, maintainable and cost conscious.

As part of the design process citizens nominated names for the park.  The name “Trillium Creek Park” by far received the most nominations.  The name has been approved by Clackamas County as the official name of the park.

Damascus received over 100 Interest Forms from property owners offering to sell or donate their property for a city park and/or open space. The Parks and Open Space Property Selection Committee held three open meetings to review the applicant properties. The Committee has selected properties for further consideration based on criteria approved by the City Council.   Those properties have been placed on either the “Priority 1” or the “Priority 2” acquisition list.  The process has become confidential as the City works with individual property owners to make a purchase(s).  The City will publicize the purchase(s) when the sale has become final.  Thank you for your patience through this process.
