Since January 2002, Jim has served on numerous groups and committees to pursue incorporation of Damascus:

• Committee for the Future of Damascus
• Committee to Incorporate Damascus
• City Councilor of Damascus, Oregon

PERSONAL

His management style is to encourage involvement by all stakeholders to build consensus and teamwork.  Jim enjoys flying during his diminishing spare time and building aircraft.  He has been married for 38 years and how two grown, married children with two granddaughters.

VISION

I want Damascus to have two or three core areas of higher density to allow for outlying green spaces.  I want to see bike and walking paths throughout the area.  I see us saving a substantial amount of our natural environment, balanced with a vibrant and economically sound community, while remaining a safe and peaceful place to live.
