When will sewers be available and who will be the provider?
Sewer availability depends on the area of the city and agreements with potential treatment providers. Areas to the west of the city currently served by Clackamas County Service District #1 may see service extension in two or three years. Areas on the east side of the city will take several years for service to be provided. Sewer service providers will be determined through the Clackamas Regional Sewer Forum process. Who is our water service provider? Will all properties in Damascus have city water?
Sunrise Water Authority provides service to about 60% of Damascus residents. (See provider map). A very small portion of the city on the east side service from the Boring Water District. Areas not currently served will receive service as development occurs based on agreements currently being developed. All citizens will be able to connect to a municipal water supply once the service is available within a certain distance to their property.
