The City is working with the Oregon Department of Transportation to complete two transportation plans: a Damascus Transportation System Plan (TSP) and a Highway 212 Land Use and Transportation Corridor Plan. Both are expected to take about a year to complete. The TSP will be coordinated with a Highway 212 Corridor Plan that will guide how the city and region create an urban Highway 212 and identify future transportation investments. The Corridor Plan will define improvements necessary to accommodate future growth, freight movement and urban land uses in the Highway 212 corridor.
The "5D Graphic" displays the transportation project timeline and the timing of public feedback to match planning benchmarks.
The Damascus Guiding Principles embody the community’s values and future vision. They establish the framework for creating a successful Damascus Transportation System Plan (TSP) and Hwy 212 Corridor Plan. They provide clear goals and expectations to steer designers in developing transportation concepts and serve as the basis for evaluating the variety of transportation ideas considered during the TSP/Corridor Plan development process.
